ADEPTS Julie Ruffolo has been busy in 2018 supporting Broward County and the regions transportation and infrastructure industries providing communications, digital marketing, event and logistics services.
Since 2014 Ruffolo has served as the communications chair for the South Florida Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women. In addition to her efforts with WTS she recently supported Fort Lauderdale with its 7th Annual Transportation Summit providing guests with easy registration by establishing the events registration site, communicating via phone and email to thousands of residents, business leaders, elected officials and transportation professionals and aficionados.
The South Florida Chapter of WTS reappointed Ruffolo as Communication Chair for 2017-2018. Ruffolo will continue to act as the chapters conduit of information being delivered to thousands of South Florida Transportation professionals including elected officials, government leadership and staff, engineers, planners, scientists and community advocates. WTS supports individuals -- both women and men in the transportation industry ranging from Aviation and Airports, Maritime and Ports, Highways and Bridges and Government, such as the Florida Department of Transportation, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, transportation and mobility and public works departments. South Florida Chapter members range from leadership and staff from FDOT, MPO's, SFRTA (Tri-Rail), City's and Counties in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach and the private sector.
On Wednesday, May, 30th WTS South Florida Chapter hosted its 2018 Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon at the Hilton Hotel in Downtown West Palm Beach. The event hosted nearly 100 transportation professionals from throughout South Florida including Mayor Geri Muoio, City of West Palm Beach, who acted as the events Key Note Speaker. Annually WTS hosts several events including the scholarship awards luncheon, networking events and industry workshops.
